🪱 Dendrobaena (Eisenia Hortensis)

The worms are carefully kept in our Wurmiwelt breeding facility and hand-selected immediately before shipping. You will receive a mix of strong and vital worms, packed in sufficiently moist substrate for safe transport.

Dendrobaena worms are smaller than classic earthworms, but they are very mobile, resilient, and versatile. They can be offered individually, in smaller pieces, or as an attractive worm bundle.

Dendrobaena worms are not only suitable as fishing worms but also very good for composting. Due to their robust size and high activity, they can process organic waste particularly quickly and often eat faster than Eisenia andrei under suitable conditions. They help to naturally decompose kitchen and garden waste, loosen the substrate, and support the formation of nutrient-rich worm castings. This makes them ideal for worm composters, raised beds, and compost piles.

❄️ Storage

Upon receipt, store the worms in a cool, shaded, and well-ventilated place. Direct sunlight, heat, and completely airtight containers should be avoided. The substrate should remain slightly moist, but not wet.  

🚚 Important shipping information

As these are live animals, shipping generally takes place from Monday to Wednesday. In extreme temperatures, shipping may be delayed to protect the worms.

Please open the packaging immediately upon delivery and check the condition of the worms. Delivery to parcel lockers is not recommended.
